Alwin is a clinician-researcher based in Liverpool Hospital, Sydney, and with the University of NSW. He completed his PhD in ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia in 2017 and continues to publish widely on topics related to regional anaesthesia, medical education, and postoperative outcomes. He is the current chair of the ASA Science, Prizes, and Research Grants committee, and on the executive committees of the Regional Anaesthesia Special Interest Group and the Asia-Oceania Societies of Regional Anaesthesia.
