Dr. Lahiru Amaratunge is a consultant anaesthetist at Western Health and a Senior Clinical Fellow at the University of Melbourne. He is the founder of ABCs of Anaesthesia and Anaesthesia Collective, initiatives designed to democratise critical care knowledge and ensure its accessibility to healthcare professionals globally, while donating the income to reputable independent charities. His role in education has grown immensely to encompass many learning programs and courses including web-based resources, online courses, regular zoom lectures and a YouTube following of over 170 thousand followers, over 17million views. Dr. Amaratunge  believes that with a clear vision, dedicated time, collaborative effort, and unwavering commitment, making a difference on a global scale is entirely achievable.
