Tilenka Thynne is a staff specialist Clinical Endocrinologist and Clinical Pharmacologist at Flinders Medical Centre within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. She has a busy inpatient and outpatient clinical practice with a focus on the multidisciplinary care of patients with diabetes. She has been as an expert panel member for the Therapeutic Guidelines Diabetes edition and recent update. Her research has examined the quality use of medication and adverse drug reactions with a focus on diabetes. She has published on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of using metformin in the setting of haemodialysis and the quality use of SGLT2i and unrecognised potential adverse drug reactions with recent reporting of ketone concentrations in compensated and decompensated heart failure patients treated with SGLT2i.
