After a brief overview of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and its clinical indications, this workshop will focus on emergency management of the critical event of CNS oxygen toxicity caused by Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. The risk factors and early warning signs of CNS oxygen toxicity as well as strategies for harm minimisation in the unique hyperbaric environment will also be covered. Through real life case examples and interactive simulation, participants will enhance their understanding of both the application of HBOT and how to safely intervene when CNS oxygen toxicity occurs as a complication of hyperbaric treatment.
