Talk Description

The Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (Telstra NATSIAA) is the longest running and most prestigious Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award. It is held annually at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory’s principal site MAGNT Darwin.

Through a curated NATSIAA tour with MAGNT’s senior curator, ASA NSC delegates will have the opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of current contemporary Indigenous artistic practice and the pre-eminence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, nationwide, within the visual arts. There will be opportunity to ask questions as well as time for delegates to peruse the works at their leisure. This activity is eligible for CPD points therefore participants’ names will be disclosed to the tour group for the purposes of CPD point assignment in an interactive group discussion setting. This event is also open to guests of conference attendees and we
encourage you to bring a friend or partner along to enjoy the experience. Bus transport to/from the DCC is provided.
