Andrew completed medical school in Melbourne, Australia in 1979. He has worked in Wangaratta, Southend-on-sea in the United Kingdom, Western Australia, Mildura, and Melbourne. In his 18 months at Southend-on-sea Andrew worked with the late J. Alfred Lee; author of the A Synopsis of Anaesthesia in 1947 Lee was a leader in the transition of Anaesthesia in the United Kingdom from general to specialist practice. Andrew spent the last 20 years of his working career at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. With almost 50 years of personal observation of Anaesthesia in Australia, he recognises a knowledge of where we have come from helps us control where we are going.
